As a general rule, classic bulbs are primarily defined by the type of installation: ceiling mounted, suspension or recessed spots, and not by their lighting properties. They are available with narrow or wide light dissemination, symmetrical or asymmetrical as with recessed fittings, with varying diameters for ceiling-mounted lights just as suitable for a wall as for the ceiling, and with a variable number of bulbs that is chiefly determined by the size of the room to be lit as commonly seen with suspension lights. The selection of the bulb type remains to be defined in order to create the ambience sought after or sometimes just as a matter of efficiency. Each type of lamp has its own well-determined function, with suspension or ceiling-mounted fittings enabling a room to be illuminated more-or-less overall, depending on the size of the room. We can select a quantity of bulbs and their intensities to achieve indirectly lit rooms through reflected light, resulting in a gentle and harmonious light from your efforts. As for spots or recessed fittings, they make it possible to delineate a zone of lighting using either compact fluorescent or low voltage bulbs.
